Operational significance and transferability: Useful for reviewing dementia-search information gathering and police–SAR coordination. Person-specific knowledge, terrain understanding and structured situational awareness receive particular emphasis.

Limitations: Expert consensus, not a validated prediction tool or comparative trial of search effectiveness. Swedish responsibilities and procedures require jurisdictional adaptation.

Training influence: Use a dementia scenario to assess whether teams obtain useful personal history, identify information gaps and translate those gaps into questions and search hypotheses.

Training sections: Initial Incident Picture; subject assessment; behavioural profiling; collaboration; search tactics; reassessment.
