Case Scenarios of People Living with Dementia Who Go Missing: An Education Tool to Manage Risks

Ten narrative scenarios were developed from 515 MedicAlert notes, 1,760 police and SAR cases, and two families’ experiences. They illustrate varied missing incidents, response contexts and post-incident risk reduction while preserving individual personhood.

First Approach to Implementing Search Theory in Mexico: Lessons Learned, Future Perspectives, and Public Policy Implications

Examines a three-week mountain search involving more than 2,500 participants, dogs, drones and aircraft. Search-theory calculations and mapped effort were used to examine coverage and support the eventual transition from search activity to police investigation.
